Home for the Holidays Doodlbug Design Team Project

I just love this line! It has all the classic colors of Christmas as well as some fun whimsical shapes to use! When I saw the cute little reindeer Doodle Pops I knew I had to use them on a fun treat holder.
Along with new PJ's from the elves, and Milk and Cookies for Santa - one of my children's favorite Christmas Eve traditions is leaving this "Magical Reindeer Food" out for Rudolph and friends. There are lots of different recipes out there to make this but mine is simply some oatmeal and some green and red cookie sprinkles (better for the birds who eat all the reindeer's "leftovers" ) :)  Sprinkle a little bit on your lawn and if your brave - up on your roof to guide Santa's sleigh to your home!
I used a box that I found on this site and decorated the outside and inside of the box with some of the many fun and festive prints that come in the collection. I used a glassine bag to hold the actual food and then placed that bag in the holder. Add a big green paper bow from the Mini Bows craft kit. Add a fun tag and the tree and reindeer Doodlepops - and you have a festive little bag to give to your kiddos to add to the holiday fun!

Doodlebug's new Day to Day Line...K-Cup Holder

Do you have a friend who needs a little "perking" up? If they own one of those nifty Keurig Coffee Makers - you have it made with this fun little K-Cup holder. Give them 3 cups of Joe and a sweet 3x3 card letting them know you are thinking of them. I used my Sihouette Cameo machine to cut out this box. Here is the file that I used you'd like to make one for your special someone:

Thanks a "latte" for stopping by!

Scor-pal and Authentique

Hi there - Tya here with my project featuring Scor-pal and Authentique. . All the papers and accents we got to work with from Authentique were so beautiful - it was hard to choose what line to focus on! Since it is the end of summer and my most favorite season fall is shortly on its way , I decided to use the new Seasons: Autumn line to make a cute and easy card to send to that special someone letting them know what a blessign they are to you. I really liked the way this card looked. I like how it looks like there is a notch cut out of the left side of the card with some pretty pattern paper peeking out from the top layer - but it really is just a scored piece layed over the top. I got the inspiration from this YouTube video by Holly Young. Thanks Holly! Here's what I did:

Supplies:
5 1/2 x 8 1/2 brown cardstock for card base
2 1/4 x 2 3/4 brown cardstock for tag
4 x 5 1/4 red cardstock
2 x 2 1/2 red cardstock for tag
Wood button
ribbon
twine

Step 1: Score 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 brown cardstock at 4 1/4 mark. Fold over to make card base.

Step 2: Add red cardstock and lined pattern paper to front of card base.

Step 3: Take 3 3/4 x 4 3/4 paper and make a tick mark at the 2 1/2 inch mark on the 4 3 /4 side of the paper.

Step 4: Line the tick mark up on the 6 inch mark on your Scor-pal. Make a diagonal score line to each of the two corners as shown.

Step 5: Fold the corners in. Add adhesive to the fold to make the pocket.

Step 6: Add the pocket to the far left side of the card. Cut out the tag and and it to the front of the card on top of the pocket you just added. Add button, twine and ribbon to the top of the tag.

Step 7: To make the pull out tag, take the 2 x 2 1/2 red cardstock and add the sticker to the 2 1/4 x 2 3/4 brown cardstock. Add adhesive to only the left hand side of the sentiment cardstock piece so that it can easily slide in and out of the pocket.

Here is the finished project.

Thanks for stopping by! Happy scoring!
